On Christmas Day, the San Diego Chargers (12-3) played the role of Santa Claus by easily beating the Tennessee Titans (7-8), 42-17. This gave Chargers fans the present that they wanted: the second seed in the playoffs and, with it, a first-round bye and at least one home playoff game.

The San Diego Chargers (10-3) have not accomplished anything yet. However, with a 20-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys (8-5), the Chargers have now won eight games in a row and stand on the doorstep of the playoffs and their fourth consecutive AFC West Championship. Additionally, the Chargers could claim the second seed in the playoffs as early as this week.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) has announced it will add the LPGA Classic to its tour. The Classic will be presented by J Golf on March 22-28 at the La Costa Resort and Spa and will mark the start of the 2010 LPGA season.

Aside from the undefeated New Orleans Saints (12-0) and the Indianapolis Colts (12-0), the San Diego Chargers (9-3) have the hottest win streak in the NFL. Sunday marked their 7th in a row, this time against the Cleveland Browns (1-11). In the 30-23 win over the Browns, the Chargers offense played a clean, consistent game while reaching more milestones.
